Holy crap. That is a lot of pieces. I honestly cannot figure out how there were that many pieces left on all the remaining runners. Did they just appear out of thin air?
I suppose it makes sense, since the waist sections features even more secret thrusters. You need a lot of parts to put each one together.
In that case, I will retract my statement - this is an expected number of pieces. But now I have another thought - how does this become a waist? Judging by these pieces, it almost looks like it will assemble into some sort of utility belt full of rocket boosters.
The build starts off with this part here, which looks like a sort of platform:
Next, you add some armor, and a literal crotch rocket:
The rear thrusters are first attached, then swung downward to fit into place.
The side pieces have no thrusters, but they still open up:
Then you put it all together and you get … a utility belt of thrusters. Great.
I mean, it certainly looks nice, and the side pieces are quite flexible and sturdy. I just fear that this will not be stable once the upper torso is attached.
Only one way to find out I guess. But first, we have one more part to build.
