I want to start this post with the photos I was most excited to take. I borrowed the hangar display from the Master Grade Gundam Mk II, popped Unit 04 onto it, and removed some of its armor to create a “maintenance” scene where some of its inner frame is exposed:

Depending on who you ask and where you look, this thing is either a “glorified High Grade” that’s bad even by the standards of old MG’s, or a hidden retro gem. Having now built it, I’m leaning toward the latter myself.

I ask for your forgiveness in advance, because I’m about to get a little mean.

This here is Gundam Unit 04, from … well, it’s from a bunch of different stuff. That’s one of the reasons it’s a longform project. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover.
